If you follow my site, you already know that I have the attention span of a moth and float from hobby to hobby frequently. In January, I made a cluster of posts about game development and the Unity course I have been taking. As you may have guessed, after being inactive for nearly two months, I’m onto something different. My newest hobby/obsession is Dungeons & Dragons!
For about a year, I was a subscriber of a thing called LootCrate. If you don’t know about LootCrate, you should check it out. In one of LootCrate’s monthly subscription boxes, I received a T-Shirt with the famous Dungeons and Dragons ‘&’ logo on it. I was aware of what it was, but had no idea how the game was played. I did a little research and discovered I was very interested. I did some more research and found that the best way to learn how to play, is to play. I saw one of my friends on Facebook had recently started playing, so I worked up the courage to ask her if I could join her campaign. She politely declined my request, as they had no need for another player in their party and their campaign was already underway. I sort of forgot about it for a while. Months later, I wore the D&D shirt to work, and one of my co-workers asked me to play in a campaign that they were about to start. Of course I accepted his offer.
Since that day, I have been constantly learning more and more about the game, but I have only scratched the surface. With only about 10 hours of actual game-play under my belt, there is much much more for me to learn and experience.
I wanted to make this post to let anyone who actually reads my posts know, that I have not abandoned this page, and that you can expect to see some D&D related content in the future.
Thanks for reading!
