This policy explains how zachdegeorge.com uses cookies and similar browser technologies. Google Analytics is queued when a page loads; its network library is deferred until the first interaction or a brief timeout.

Google Analytics commonly uses `_ga` and `_ga_<container-id>` cookies to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies commonly remain for up to two years unless deleted sooner. The site requests IP anonymization and sends a page view when the page loads.
Contact-unlock storage	If the email contact link is used, the site saves `zd-contact-unlocked` in local storage to reveal the additional contact methods on later visits. It remains until local storage is cleared.
Embedded media	YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced `youtube-nocookie.com` domain, and Spotify content uses embedded Spotify players. Those providers may use cookies or browser storage when their content loads or is played, subject to their own policies.

Google Ads

The site’s tag initializer supports a Google Ads destination ID, but no separate AW- Google Ads ID is currently configured in this website’s source. This policy should be updated before a separate Google Ads ID or advertising cookie is enabled.

Managing cookies and storage

You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking Google’s scripts or cookies may prevent analytics from operating but should not prevent access to the profile’s primary content. This site does not currently respond differently to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.
